Spring Stampede
Spring Stampede was a professional wrestling pay-per-view event from World Championship Wrestling (WCW) held in the month of April in 1994 and then from 1997 to 2000. As it was called Spring Stampede, the event was usually Cowboy/Wild West themed. Since 2001, WWE owns the rights to the Spring Stampede event.

After Vader defeated The Boss, Nick Bockwinkel announced that The Boss could no longer use the name the Boss, in reality The WWF threaten to sue WCW because The Boss character was too similar to the Big Bossman character he played in the WWF. WCW World Heavyweight Champion Ric Flair fought Ricky Steamboat to a no-contest as the match ended in a double-pin. WCW President Bockwinkel originally awarded the belt back to Flair, but title was later held up pending a rematch
